We’re appreciative of anyone who has supported us with funding

The Butterfly Tree Charity is extremely grateful to a number of businesses and grant-giving organisations who have provided us with significant funding for the past nineteen years. Many of these charity sponsors are on going, which has enabled us to achieve so much, to expand our projects and to reach out to other rural communities in Kazungula and Kalomo districts in Southern Province and most recently Mulobezi District in Western Province. This has helped us to become a notable UK charity and NGO in Zambia.

Getting involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives is a great way of lifting a company’s profile, making it more appealing to customers. We are constantly seeking charity sponsors to support the following projects – school development, health facilities, community housing, boreholes, orphan support and for malaria prevention.

We have a sound reputation for getting the job done, for our transparency and for giving regular feedback to our sponsors, who can select any project they wish to support. In 2011 we were voted by a global corporate as the charity working in Africa, ‘having the best proven record for a transparency’. We have since received numerous awards including Education Charity of the Year, Orphan Charity of the Year, International Support Non-Profit Organisation and Business Excellence Award.

We receive grant awards and donations from companies and organisations including OA&DC (Guernsey), The Murphy Family Foundation, Fedex, Fidelity Charitable, St. James’s Place Foundation, ALMT, Blooms (Australia), Motive Real Estate (US) and Give a Hand (Canada).
